Upon concluding your breakfast, it’s time to check out. Our Imperial Egypt representative will be on hand to assist you in making your way to Aswan airport or station for your flight back to Cairo. (Breakfast included) Optional Tour: Excursion to Abu Simbel Temples For those seeking an extraordinary adventure, we offer an optional excursion to the remarkable Abu Simbel temples. You can choose to travel either by private coach or by domestic flight. In Aswan, our English-speaking tour guide will greet you and transfer you to Abu Simbel, a site located south of Aswan on the western bank of the Nile, approximately 180 miles south of the First Cataract in what was once Nubia. This historical site, known as Meha in ancient times, was first documented in the 18th Dynasty when Ay and Horemheb had rock-cut chapels carved into the hills to the south. Upon arrival at Abu Simbel, you will have the privilege of visiting the awe-inspiring Abu Simbel Temples, constructed by the renowned King Ramses II. The larger temple, known as the Great Temple, was dedicated to the revered god Rahorakhty. The smaller temple was dedicated to King Ramses II himself and his beloved queen, Nefertari. After a captivating day of exploration, you will return to Aswan, where you can choose to either check in and relax at your selected hotel or proceed to Aswan airport for your domestic flight to Cairo.
