Tour Itinerary
5 Day Luxor to Aswan
Upon your arrival at Luxor airport, a Journey to Egypt tour guide will be waiting for you at the exit door, holding a sign with your name. You’ll then embark on a visit to two of the most spectacular temples in Egypt: the Luxor Temple and the Karnak Temple. These temples are separated by the Avenue of Sphinxes, a remarkable three-kilometer-long road lined with sphinx statues.
After your temple exploration, you’ll be transferred to the cruise boat, where your full room and board await. You’ll spend the night in Luxor.
After breakfast, around 6:30 am, your day will start with a visit to the giant necropolises nearby. You’ll explore the Valley of the Kings, where you’ll have the opportunity to visit three of the open tombs. Next, you’ll visit Queen Hatshepsut Temple, dedicated to the only woman to rule over Egypt for an extended period of time. Lastly, you’ll see the Colossi of Memnon, two giant statues paying homage to the Pharaoh Amenhotep III.
Upon your return to the boat, you’ll set sail in the direction of Edfu via the Esna lock. You’ll dock in Edfu to have lunch and spend the night onboard.
At 7:00 am, your morning will begin with a visit to the Edfu Temple, dedicated to the God Horus. Following this, the cruise will carry on towards Kom Ombo, where you’ll explore its remarkable temple dedicated to the gods Sobek and Haroeris. After the day’s tour, you’ll sail up the Nile to Aswan, where you’ll spend the night.
After breakfast at 8:00 am, you’ll embark on a visit to one of the most beautiful temples in Egypt, the Philae Temple, dedicated to the Goddess Isis. You’ll also explore the Aswan High Dam. For those interested, there’s an optional visit to the Abu Simbel temples, which involves a 3-hour drive each way (pre-bookable at $110 per person). This is highly recommended for those who wish to experience it. If you opt for the Abu Simbel visit, you’ll depart at 4 am and return by 1:00 pm. In this case, the visit to the Philae Temple will be scheduled for after lunch at 2:00 pm or on the following day, depending on your flight departure time.
After enjoying breakfast and checking out at around 8:00 am, you’ll have some free time. Whenever you’re ready, we’ll arrange your transfer to the Aswan airport, train station, or any other location within the city that you’d like to visit. If your transfer is scheduled for the evening, you can explore additional attractions in Aswan, such as the Nubian village (optional, $30 per person).
4 Day Aswan to Luxor
Upon your arrival at Aswan airport, our Journey to Egypt tour guide will be readily available to greet you at the exit door, holding a sign with your name. From there, you’ll embark on an exciting journey that includes visits to the Aswan High Dam and the exquisite Philae Temple, regarded as one of the most stunning temples in Egypt. Following these remarkable explorations, you’ll be transferred to your cruise boat, where you’ll find comfortable accommodations and full board services awaiting you. Your overnight stay will be in Aswan, with meals provided, including lunch and dinner.
In the morning, you’ll enjoy a scenic sail along the Nile, eventually reaching the awe-inspiring Kom Ombo Temple, an iconic image of Egypt that will leave a lasting impression. Following your visit to the temple, the cruise will continue its journey towards Edfu. After a delightful lunch on board, you’ll explore the remarkable Edfu Temple, dedicated to the God Horus. Continuing your cruise, you’ll head to Esna, where you’ll pass through the famous floodgate. Finally, you’ll arrive at the majestic city of Luxor, known as the ancient Thebes and once the capital of Egypt. Here, you’ll enjoy dinner and spend the night anchored in Luxor.
After a satisfying breakfast, at around 7:30 am, we’ll embark on a fascinating journey to explore the colossal necropolises nearby. Our first stop will be the renowned Valley of the Kings, where you’ll have the privilege of visiting three of its open tombs. These tombs are a testament to the grandeur and significance of the ancient Egyptian pharaohs.
Next, we’ll venture to the impressive Queen Hatshepsut Temple, dedicated to the remarkable woman who ruled over Egypt for an extended period, a unique and powerful figure in Egyptian history.
Our final destination on this tour will be the awe-inspiring Colossi of Memnon, two colossal statues erected in honor of Pharaoh Amenhotep III, a testament to the greatness of ancient Egyptian civilization.
As our enriching tour concludes around 13:00, we’ll be ready to take you back to the cruise boat.
After enjoying a hearty breakfast and completing the check-out process at around 8:00 am, we’ll commence our tour by visiting the awe-inspiring Luxor and Karnak temples. These monumental structures, separated in antiquity by the Avenue of the Sphinxes, stretching over three kilometers, stand as a testament to the grandeur of ancient Egyptian civilization.
Our captivating tour will conclude at approximately 12:30 pm. Following the tour, we’ll be more than happy to accommodate your preferences, whether it’s transportation to Luxor airport, the train station, or any other point within the city, ensuring your convenience and comfort.
