Cairo, the city of ancient wonders, is the most visited destination in Egypt. Following closely is Luxor, renowned as the world’s largest open-air museum. Then, there’s the legendary golden city of Aswan. Discover more about the best cities to visit in Egypt.

Egypt is renowned for its two seas: the Mediterranean Sea, where the city of Alexandria is situated on the northern coast, and the legendary Red Sea to the east, home to many stunning tropical resorts such as Hurghada, Makadi Bay, El Gouna, Marsa Alam, and more.

A four or five-day tour is sufficient to explore the major archaeological destinations in Egypt. However, a seven-day tour is more ideal, as it allows for additional attractions and activities.

Egypt is a country brimming with must-see destinations, each offering its own unique charm and historical significance. Begin your journey in Hurghada, where the Red Sea’s breathtaking beauty captivates visitors. In Cairo, marvel at iconic landmarks such as the Pyramids of Giza, the Great Sphinx, the Egyptian Museum, and the bustling Khan El Khalili Bazaar. Luxor beckons with the Valley of the Kings, Karnak, and Hatshepsut Temple. Aswan is home to the awe-inspiring Abu Simbel Temples, Philae Temple, and the Unfinished Obelisk. Finally, Alexandria invites exploration with its Qaitbay Citadel, Pompey’s Pillar, and the Alexandria Library. Discover more about Egypt’s top destinations.

If you wish to apply for a 30-day Visa On Arrival, you must be from an eligible country, possess a valid passport with at least six months of remaining validity, and pay a $25 USD fee in cash. For a 30-day E-Visa, you’ll need a passport with at least eight months of validity, complete an online application, pay the e-visa fee, and print the e-visa to present to the airport border guard. Additionally, some travelers may qualify for a free 90-day visa. Learn more about Egypt travel visas.

Egypt is home to an array of delectable cuisines. We particularly recommend trying “Ful & Ta’meya” (fava beans and falafel), Mulukhiya, the traditional pasta dish “Koshary,” and the classic meat dishes Kebab & Kofta.

The best time to visit Egypt is during the winter months, from September to April, when the weather becomes pleasantly tropical with a warm atmosphere and a refreshing winter breeze. You will receive a notification during the week of your trip if the climate is deemed unsafe or if there are any changes to your travel plans.

Pack all essentials in a small bag for easy mobility between destinations.

Our team, consisting of top-notch operators, guides, and drivers, is committed to making your trip perfect. Each tour is personalized by our Travel, Financial, and Time consultants to cater to your every need. Wear what feels right and comfortable. It’s best to choose light clothing and comfortable footwear, like closed-toe shoes, to handle Egypt’s terrain. During the summer, be sure to apply sunblock to protect yourself from the sun.

One of the top activities to enjoy is embarking on a Nile Cruise between Luxor and Aswan, or vice versa. Experience the breathtaking beauty of Egypt from a hot air balloon or plane, and indulge in the variety of delicious Egyptian cuisines and beverages. Don’t miss out on shopping in the historic streets of old Cairo. Dive into the allure of the Red Sea at enchanting resort cities like Hurghada, where diving and snorkeling adventures reveal the vibrant marine life. Additionally, a safari trip through the mesmerizing western desert under the serene Egyptian skies is an unforgettable experience.

Egypt has numerous public holidays, both religious and national, that are too many to count. Among the most significant festivals are the holy month of Ramadan, which concludes with Eid Al-Fitr, as well as Christmas and New Year’s Eve. Read more about festivals and public holidays in Egypt.

Egypt is known for being one of the more liberal Islamic countries, but it has become somewhat conservative in recent decades. Therefore, it’s advisable to avoid showing your chest, shoulders, or legs below the knees.

Arabic is the official language of Egypt. Most city-dwelling Egyptians speak or understand English to some degree. A smaller number can speak French, Italian, Spanish, and German. Professional tour guides in the tourism sector are well-prepared to assist non-Arabic-speaking visitors, and they can communicate in English and other languages to meet the needs of all our clients.

The quickest way to get around is by car, preferably a taxi. In Cairo, taking a white taxi will help you move faster, or you can opt for the metro, Egypt’s fastest mode of transportation, especially during rush hour.
