A deluxe cruise ($410–$510) is a standard motor yacht with comfortable cabins and a full-board Egyptologist-led itinerary ideal for value-focused travellers. A luxury cruise
features suite-class cabins, finer dining, and a private guide on a premium-rated ship. A dahabiya ($835–$1,500+) is a traditional small-group sailing vessel for 8–30 guests,
offering a quieter and more exclusive experience at a higher price point.

Both directions visit the same temples. Luxor to Aswan is the most popular you start with the grand sites (Karnak Temple, Valley of the Kings) then sail south through Edfu
and Kom Ombo to Aswan. Aswan to Luxor works well for those arriving via Abu Simbel or starting their Egypt trip in the south. The experience is equally rewarding in either
direction.

The shortest option is a 4-day cruise from Aswan ($410 per person), covering Edfu Temple, Kom Ombo, and Luxor’s east and west banks. Most nights are spent on board sailing between temples, making it the most efficient way to experience the Nile for travellers with limited time.
