The Karnak Temple Complex is a breathtaking testament to ancient architecture and artistry, historically known as pet-isu or “The Most Select of Places” during the Middle Kingdom, and referred to as Pr-Imn or “House of Amon.” Established between 2000 BC and 30 BC, this expansive site spans 247 acres of sacred Theban land and was built to honor the Theban triad of Amun, Mut, and Khonsu.
