Tour Itinerary
04 Days / 03 Nights Program (Every Wednesday)
Your incredible journey begins in Aswan, where we will pick up all our guests from various locations such as hotels, the train station, or the airport. You will embark on an amazing tour of Aswan’s most iconic attractions.
Your first stop is the renowned Aswan High Dam, an engineering marvel that has had a significant impact on Egypt’s modern history. This dam was constructed during the 1960s to control the annual flooding of the Nile River, safeguarding Egypt from potential disaster.
Following your visit to the High Dam, you’ll set sail aboard a Nile motorboat to reach the majestic Philae Temple. This temple complex, dedicated to the goddess Isis, was relocated to its current location on Philae Island to save it from the rising waters caused by the construction of the High Dam. The temple is a testament to ancient Egyptian architecture and devotion.
As your day unfolds, you will have the opportunity to disembark from the cruise. You’ll enjoy a delicious lunch onboard the cruise, along with afternoon tea, dinner, and even an evening disco party. The cruise will remain docked overnight in Aswan.
Your day begins with an extraordinary excursion to the Abu Simbel Temple Complex. At around 4:30 AM, your guide will pick you up for this adventure, and you’ll be sharing the experience with a small group of fellow travelers. The journey to Abu Simbel is well worth the early start.
You’ll arrive at Abu Simbel around 8 AM to visit one of the most awe-inspiring sites in Egypt: the rock-cut temples of Abu Simbel. These temples were constructed for King Ramesses II and his beloved Queen Nefertari. The unique design and colossal statues at Abu Simbel make it a remarkable archaeological treasure. You’ll have ample time to explore and appreciate the grandeur of these temples.
After your visit to Abu Simbel, you’ll return to the cruise by noon to enjoy a well-deserved lunch. The cruise will then set sail, heading towards Kom Ombo city.
In Kom Ombo, you’ll have the opportunity to visit the dual temple dedicated to two deities: Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus, the falcon god. The Temple of Kom Ombo is a fascinating example of ancient Egyptian religious architecture.
After your visit to Kom Ombo, you’ll return to the cruise and have dinner onboard. The cruise will continue its journey, sailing to Edfu, where you will spend the night.
Your day starts with an early morning excursion to the Temple of Horus in Edfu. You’ll embark on a unique experience, taking a horse-drawn carriage ride with your tour guide to reach the temple. The Temple of Horus at Edfu is renowned for being the most complete and best-preserved ancient Egyptian temple. Its grandeur and intricate hieroglyphics make it a remarkable testament to the ancient civilization’s architectural and artistic achievements.
You’ll have approximately 2 hours to explore this impressive temple, learning about its history and significance from your knowledgeable guide.
Later in the afternoon, you’ll arrive at your cruise dock in Luxor. From there, you’ll be transferred to Luxor Temple on the East bank of Luxor. This temple is a fascinating blend of ancient Egyptian, Christian, and Islamic features, showcasing the city’s rich history and cultural influences. You’ll have the opportunity to explore this unique site.
After your visit to Luxor Temple, you’ll return to the cruise for dinner, which will be followed by a belly dancing show. You’ll spend the night in Luxor.
Note: If your arrival at Luxor dock is between 3:00 PM and 3:30 PM, there may be a chance to visit both Karnak and Luxor Temples.
After enjoying your breakfast, you’ll begin an unforgettable day of exploration. You’ll check out from your cruise and start by driving to the West Bank of Luxor, where you’ll visit several iconic ancient Egyptian sites.
1. Valley of the Kings: This is where the pharaohs from the New Kingdom chose to carve their magnificent tombs into the mountains. You’ll have approximately 2 hours to explore this historic site, discovering the grandeur of the royal tombs.
2. Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari: Next, you’ll visit the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at El Deir El Bahari. This temple is not only architecturally stunning but also has a fascinating history, particularly in relation to Queen Hatshepsut’s reign. You’ll spend about 1 hour exploring this site.
3. Temple of Karnak: Returning to the East Bank of Luxor, you’ll encounter the colossal Temple of Karnak. This temple complex was constructed over a period of 2000 years and covers an area of approximately 63 acres. You’ll have the opportunity to take memorable photos among its massive pillars and obelisks.
Finally, after concluding your tour in Luxor, you’ll be transferred to your Luxor hotel, the airport, or the railway station (usually around 3:00 to 4:00 PM), depending on your travel arrangements.
05 Days / 04 Nights Program (Every Saturday)
Upon your arrival at Luxor airport or station, our Imperial Egypt representative will smoothly facilitate your transfer to your Nile Cruise using a private A/C van. It’s important to note that embarkation should be completed prior to 12:00 PM.
During the afternoon, you’ll embark on an exploration of Luxor’s East bank, which includes the awe-inspiring Karnak Temples Complex, renowned as the largest structures ever erected in the history of mankind. The central edifice is dedicated to the god Amun Ra, considered the earthly abode of the deity. Although its origins trace back to the Middle Kingdom, references suggest even earlier structures, possibly dating as far back as the 3rd dynasty.
Following your visit to Karnak, your journey will lead you to the Temple of Luxor. Initially constructed during the reign of a 12th dynasty king, it was later completed by the renowned King Ramses II. Positioned in the heart of ancient Thebes, this temple, like Karnak, was devoted to the primary deity, Amun Re.
