Your incredible journey begins in Aswan, where we will pick up all our guests from various locations such as hotels, the train station, or the airport. You will embark on an amazing tour of Aswan’s most iconic attractions, all while enjoying the comfort of the Concerto Nile Cruise.

Your first stop is the renowned Aswan High Dam, an engineering marvel that has significantly impacted Egypt’s modern history. This monumental structure was built in the 1960s to control the annual flooding of the Nile River, safeguarding Egypt from potential disaster.

After visiting the High Dam, you’ll set sail aboard a Nile motorboat to reach the majestic Philae Temple. Dedicated to the goddess Isis, this stunning temple was relocated to its current location on Philae Island to save it from the rising waters caused by the construction of the High Dam. The temple stands as a testament to the architectural brilliance and devotion of ancient Egyptians.

As your day unfolds, you will have the opportunity to disembark from the cruise. You’ll enjoy a delicious lunch on board the Concerto Nile Cruise, followed by afternoon tea, dinner, and even an evening disco party. The Concerto Nile Cruise Review often highlights the luxurious experience and world-class service, making it a perfect choice for travelers seeking comfort and adventure on the Nile.

Your day begins with an extraordinary excursion to the Abu Simbel Temple Complex. At around 4:30 AM, your guide will pick you up for this adventure, and you’ll be sharing the experience with a small group of fellow travelers. The journey to Abu Simbel is well worth the early start.

You’ll arrive at Abu Simbel around 8 AM to visit one of the most awe-inspiring sites in Egypt: the rock-cut temples of Abu Simbel. These temples were constructed for King Ramesses II and his beloved Queen Nefertari. The unique design and colossal statues at Abu Simbel make it a remarkable archaeological treasure. You’ll have ample time to explore and appreciate the grandeur of these temples.

After your visit to Abu Simbel, you’ll return to the Concerto Nile Cruise by noon to enjoy a well-deserved lunch. The cruise will then set sail, heading towards Kom Ombo city.

In Kom Ombo, you’ll have the opportunity to visit the dual temple dedicated to two deities: Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus, the falcon god. The Temple of Kom Ombo is a fascinating example of ancient Egyptian religious architecture, offering a glimpse into the spiritual beliefs of the time.

After your visit to Kom Ombo, you’ll return to the MS Concerto Nile Cruise and have dinner onboard. The cruise will continue its journey, sailing towards Edfu, where you will spend the night.

Whether you’re exploring the grandeur of Luxor Temple or relaxing on the Concerto Cruise Nile, your day will be filled with history, luxury, and unforgettable experiences.

After enjoying your breakfast aboard the Concerto Nile Cruise, you’ll begin an unforgettable day of exploration. You’ll check out from your cruise and start by driving to the West Bank of Luxor, where you’ll visit several iconic ancient Egyptian sites.

Valley of the Kings: This historic site is where the pharaohs from the New Kingdom carved their magnificent tombs into the mountains. You’ll have approximately 2 hours to explore the grandeur of the royal tombs, learning about the history and significance of each.

Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari: Next, you’ll visit the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at El Deir El Bahari. Not only is this temple architecturally stunning, but it also carries a fascinating history, particularly in relation to Queen Hatshepsut’s reign. You’ll spend about 1 hour exploring this remarkable site.

Temple of Karnak: Returning to the East Bank of Luxor, you’ll encounter the colossal Temple of Karnak. This vast temple complex was constructed over a period of 2000 years and covers an area of about 63 acres. You’ll have the opportunity to take memorable photos among its massive pillars and obelisks.

Whether you’re traveling aboard the MS Concerto Nile Cruise or discovering the wonders of ancient Egypt, this tour promises to be a rich and unforgettable experience.

Your journey in Luxor begins with a visit to the magnificent Karnak Temples Complex on the East Bank of the Nile. These temples are among the most impressive architectural wonders in human history. The central and principal structure within Karnak is the Temple of Amun-Ra, believed to be the earthly dwelling place of the god. The temple’s origins date back to the Middle Kingdom, with some references suggesting even earlier constructions dating back to the 3rd Dynasty.

Following your exploration of Karnak, your next destination is the Temple of Luxor. Initially built during the 12th Dynasty and later completed by the renowned Pharaoh Ramses II, this temple, like Karnak, is dedicated to Amun-Re, the chief deity. The Temple of Luxor is situated in the heart of ancient Thebes and played a crucial role in the religious and political life of ancient Egypt.

After your day of exploration, you’ll return to your Concerto Nile Cruise ship for some rest and refreshment. In the evening, enjoy an Egyptian folkloric show hosted by the ship’s staff. Dinner will be served on board, and you’ll spend the night in Luxor, enjoying the comforts of the MS Concerto Nile Cruise.

null
Meals: Lunch and Dinner

Note: If your arrival time in Luxor is early, the tour will begin immediately upon your arrival, as the official cruise check-in begins at 12:00 PM. This ensures that you won’t have to wait in the lobby.

Your day in Luxor begins with a delightful breakfast aboard your Concerto Nile Cruise. Following breakfast, you’ll embark on a magical journey through Thebes, the sacred land, as you explore the West Bank of Luxor.

Your first stop is the Valley of the Kings, an ancient burial ground for the Theban kings and rulers of Egypt. This site holds the resting places of numerous Pharaohs from ancient Egyptian history, including the renowned Tutankhamun. You’ll have the opportunity to explore the fascinating tombs within the valley and learn about the rich history of these royal figures.

Next, you’ll visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir El Bahari. This remarkable temple, carved entirely into the mountainside, stands as a testament to Queen Hatshepsut’s reign and the architectural brilliance of ancient Egypt. It is one of the most iconic structures in Egypt.

Concluding your day’s exploration, you’ll visit the Colossi of Memnon, two colossal statues that once adorned the mortuary temple of King Amenhotep III. These imposing statues are a significant historical and archaeological attraction, offering a glimpse into the grandeur of ancient Egypt.

Following your tour, you’ll return to your MS Concerto Nile Cruise for a delicious lunch on board. The afternoon offers some leisure time to relax and enjoy the serene views of the Nile. Dinner will be served on board, and you’ll spend the night on the cruise ship, enjoying the luxury and comfort of the Esmeralda Nile Cruise Egypt.

Dedicated to the god Horus, this temple offers a captivating glimpse into the religious and architectural achievements of ancient Egypt. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

Whether you’re cruising aboard the Concerto Cruise Nile or the MS Esmeralda Nile Cruise, each journey promises luxury, history, and unforgettable experiences along the ancient Nile.

Your day begins with a delicious breakfast served on board your Concerto Nile Cruise ship. Afterward, you’ll join your Egyptologist tour guide to explore the vibrant city of Aswan.

Your first stop is the High Dam, an impressive structure built under the leadership of Egyptian President Gamal Abdel Nasser in 1960 AD. The dam was constructed to protect Egypt from the annual Nile flood and to harness the river’s waters for various purposes, including irrigation and electricity generation.

Following your visit to the High Dam, you’ll embark on a delightful motorboat ride on the Nile River, taking you to Agilika Island. Here, you’ll discover the Temple of Philae, an enchanting Greco-Roman temple dedicated to the goddess Isis, the mother of god Horus. The temple’s relocation to Agilika Island was a remarkable feat of engineering to save it from the rising waters caused by the construction of the High Dam.

Your exploration of Aswan continues with a visit to the Unfinished Obelisk, a colossal red granite obelisk dedicated to the god Amun Ra. This unfinished monument provides insight into the ancient quarrying techniques employed by the Egyptians.

Optional Tour: Excursion to Abu Simbel Temples

If you’re interested in exploring the magnificent Abu Simbel Temples, you have the opportunity to do so on an optional excursion. Our English-speaking tour guide in Aswan will arrange for your transportation, either by private coach or domestic flight, to the awe-inspiring Abu Simbel Temples

Located to the south of Aswan on the western bank of the Nile, approximately 180 miles south of the First Cataract, Abu Simbel was once part of Nubia. The site, known as Meha in ancient times, dates back to the 18th Dynasty when Ay and Horemheb commissioned rock-cut chapels in the southern hills.

Upon arrival at Abu Simbel, you’ll visit the magnificent temples, built by the renowned Pharaoh Ramses II. The largest of the two temples, the Great Temple, is dedicated to the god Rahorakhty, while the smaller temple is dedicated to Ramses II and his beloved queen, Nefertari.

After an inspiring exploration of Abu Simbel, you’ll return to Aswan. Depending on your preference, you can either check in at your chosen hotel in Aswan for rest and refreshment or proceed to Aswan Airport for your domestic flight to Cairo.

Super dense and great time in South Egypt We had wonderful four days on this Nile River Cruise with our great guide Hady from Imperial Egypt. The cruise ship was clean, and most of the crews onboard were very friendly and kind. While the itinerary was quite packed to visit all the important temples in such a short time, we had a relaxing third day where we could spend the entire daytime on the boat chilling at the rooftop terrace and pool. The hot air ballon was absolutely spectacular with the view of Luxor city and the valleys from above. Hope to have another chance to come back, inshallah! Shukran ktiir Hady!

Great experience (specially the guide) The best part was our guide Mohammed Abdo, he explained everything so well and in such detail, and was very concerned with our group at all times, he really goes the extra mile so that we can enjoy the trip. The only thing that I really can complain about is the not so optional tips that we need to give to everybody (drivers, cruise staff, and so on), I had no idea tipping culture in Egypt was so aggressive

A great cruise It was a great cruise. Fast pace and early mornings, but so worth it for all the sights. The ship was clean and comfortable. Taleet, our guide, was excellent. Very knowledgeable and we learnt a lot without being too academic. Nothing was too much trouble, he was patient and fun, and we had free time on each visit.

Disappointing Experience – Too Much Talking, Too Little Time I did not come all the way to Egypt, spending a significant amount of money and using my valuable vacation time, just to be mocked or made uncomfortable by a tour guide. I completely respect a guide who is passionate about explaining the history and details of the sites. However, there needs to be a balance between providing information and allowing guests to actually enjoy and experience the tour. During the tour, more than 90% of the time felt focused on explanations, leaving very little time to take photos. I specifically wanted to take photos when there were fewer people around, but we were constantly told to gather around because the guide needed to continue explaining things. For example, the tour lasted about 1 hour and 30 minutes, but approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes were spent listening to explanations, leaving only around 10 minutes to take photos. I came to Egypt to see and photograph these incredible historical sites, not to spend almost the entire tour listening to a lecture. The explanations were also so long that I could not even find a proper opportunity to use the restroom. When we told the guide that we needed to use the bathroom, he told us to wait until after he finished his explanation. Even when someone in our group asked if they could go to the bathroom during the explanation, the guide sarcastically said, “No,” and then followed it with “I’m joking.” When someone genuinely needs to use the restroom, this is not something that should be treated as a joke. Another thing that really bothered me was the smoking. Almost every time we were being taken somewhere, the guide would walk in front of us while smoking. We had to follow behind him while he was smoking, which was extremely unpleasant and frustrating. As paying guests, I do not think we should have to repeatedly walk behind a smoking guide throughout the tour. There was also an uncomfortable amount of pressure regarding tips. The guide repeatedly encouraged us to prepare tips for other staff members. I understand that tipping is common in Egypt and that guests may choose to tip when they receive good service, but repeatedly pressuring guests to prepare tips made us feel uncomfortable. Tipping should be a personal choice based on the service received, not something guests feel pressured into doing. Another issue was that we were taken to places that were not included in the original itinerary. It gave us the impression that the purpose was to take us somewhere where we might be encouraged to purchase products. Also, some members of our group genuinely had difficulty understanding the Egyptian accent when speaking English. Instead of being patient and helping them understand, the guide made them feel embarrassed for not understanding the English. That kind of attitude is not appropriate toward paying guests. Again, I respect the guide's passion and knowledge. However, being knowledgeable and passionate does not justify making guests uncomfortable, rushing their photo time, making jokes at their expense, ignoring reasonable requests such as needing to use the restroom, repeatedly smoking while leading the group, or putting pressure on guests regarding tips. I paid for this tour because I wanted to enjoy Egypt, see the historical sites, take photos, and create good memories. I did not pay to feel rushed, embarrassed, uncomfortable, or pressured throughout the experience.

Imperial Egypt Nile Cruise I had an amazing experience on this Nile River Cruise and would highly recommend it, especially for solo travelers. From the moment I arrived, everything was perfectly organized. I was picked up from the airport in a private car, which made the journey smooth and stress-free. As a solo traveler, I felt safe, comfortable, and well looked after throughout the entire trip. The cabin on the cruise was spacious, comfortable, and offered stunning views of the Nile. A special thank you to our tour guide, Hady, who was absolutely outstanding. He is incredibly knowledgeable about Egyptian history and culture and shared fascinating insights at every site we visited. More importantly, he genuinely cared about everyone in the group and always made sure we were comfortable and enjoying our experience. One of the things I appreciated most was the small group size. There were only five people in our group, which made the tour feel much more personal and enjoyable. We never felt rushed, had plenty of opportunities to ask questions, and received a lot of individual attention from Hady. What made this trip even more special was that I celebrated my birthday during the cruise. Hady went above and beyond by arranging a birthday cake for me, which was such a thoughtful surprise. It made me feel truly welcomed and turned an already wonderful trip into an unforgettable memory. Overall, this was one of the best travel experiences I have ever had. Excellent organization, beautiful accommodations, breathtaking Nile views, a fantastic small-group atmosphere, and an exceptional guide made this journey truly unforgettable. I would highly recommend this cruise to anyone visiting Egypt, especially solo travelers.

A big thank you to Hady for organising a surprise cake and entertainment for celebrating our 40 year wedding anniversary, the evening was perfect.
